IKOK, to me, has NO learning curve...
I understand the developers want to get paid for their hard work...BUT this licensing software, has terrible customer service, and their directions for an clean install makes no sense at all.
I agree with "protect your software"....but I've just spent over $ 500.00 on plug ins using the ILOK system. I had the developer's tech try a remote fix, zoom call, etc. and still can't get products installed.....all because of ILOK...going on two weeks now.
I am an award winning producer, engineer and composer...and I would like to think I know my way around my DAW ( Cubase 13 ), and any plug in I want....been doing DAW work since 1998.
I just want to sit down and get to work, not constantly working with ILOK.
I'm sure the developer will try to take this review down, or insinuate that I am wrong, ,,but, if you are a tech nerd...have at it.
If you've EVER done any serious work....that results in a Grammy Winning Cd...save yourself time and and frustration forget about ILOK.
An example would be:
A.) You open a free account, install it.
B.) Before you can use the product you paid $ 500.00 for, you have to get an activation code .BUT NOWHERE on the ILOK site does it allow you to find one. ILOK DOES NOT provide you with the activation key, just for ILOK to work..then you have to gather your products you purchased and THEIR activation codes, and install them and according to
their support help, the software, license management and plug in vendor's product ALL mysteriously align themselves with the all of the software and now you can wotl
